Our 2023 project, “Rita the Rock Planter”, was a highly collaborative and ambitious project. Let’s take excellent care of her and her surroundings so she and the serenity of her mountaintop can be enjoyed for years to come.

100% of Donations made to the link below will go to the maintenance of Rita and collaborative upkeep of the Little Grouse Mountain trail.

The Southern Teller County Focus Group (STCFG) manages trail formation and maintenance in the Gold Camp area. For information about our amazing system of trails, visit www.STCFG.com

Most of the trails in the area (including Little Grouse Mountain trail) are on post-mined land owned by Newmont Mining Company.

Recreational endeavors on post-mined land can create regenerative relationships between the mining industry, our environment, and the vitality of our community.

Please see Newmont’s web page dedicated to the Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mine to learn more about this operation.

Our Vision:

Our Vision is an inspired, thriving community that connects with its visitors, supports its neighbors, honors its heritage, and establishes its future.
